Time to Reconstitute – File by February 9, 2026

As Chairman of the Gloucester County Republican Committee (GCRC) of the Republican Party of Virginia (RPV), and pursuant to the RPV Plan of Organization and as recommended and directed by the GCRC, I, Teresa L. Altemus, do hereby issue this call for a Party Canvass to be held at the Gloucester County Public Library, Meeting Room #1, 6920 Main Street, Gloucester, VA 23061, or alternate location, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, starting promptly at 3:00 PM and ending promptly at 6:00 p.m. local time for the following purposes:

A. Electing a Unit Chairman of the Gloucester County Republican Committee; and
B. Electing Members of the Gloucester County Republican Committee as follows:

1.     Up to 108 At-Large Voting Members from all magisterial districts in Gloucester County, VA   
2.      An unlimited number of Non-Voting Members (Includes Associate Members and Student Members)

All candidates for election to positions in the Gloucester County Republican Committee at said Party Canvass shall pre-file the applicable and properly completed “Official Gloucester County Republican Party Canvass Filing Form and Statement of Qualification for Gloucester County Republican Committee Offices (2026-2028),” available at virginia.gop and va01republicans.org, gloucestervagop.com, along with applicable filing fee(s) in the amount stated on the applicable form, with the Chairman, payment by check should be payable to “GCRC”, Gloucester County Republican Party by USPS at PO Box 1639, Gloucester, Virginia 23061, or in person (by drop box to the right of the door), 6886 George Washington Mem Hwy, Gloucester, VA 23061, or by credit or debit card at www.gloucestervagop.com  Filing form and fee for unit chairman ($200.00) must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. EST on February 4, 2026. Postmarks shall not govern.  Filing form and fee for voting and associate members ($10.00) must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. EST on February 9, 2026. Postmarks shall not govern. 
In addition to this filing fee of $10, there are annual dues for GCRC Voting members and Associate members, with the exception of student members, the amount of which is currently $30 per year is to be paid by the February 24, 2026, meeting for first year, and the second-year dues of $30 must be paid in full by May 26, 2026.

If not more than the number of people to be elected shall pre-file for all offices listed for this Party Canvass, then all such properly filed persons shall be declared elected, and this Party Canvass shall be cancelled.

The Gloucester County Republican Committee (GCRC) meets monthly on the fourth (4th) Tuesday of each month (except December) at IDK Raw Bar and Grill. 4329 GEORGE WASHINGTON MEMORIAL HIGHWAY, Hayes, VA.
